Each area of Aarhus has its own community council (Fællesråd). The community councils play an important role in connecting the city council with the locals and their organisations. This idea is to appoint a representative in the community council as a representative of the Internationals in the area to better include them in the community councils.
The community councils are run in Danish and having a representative would make it easier to get the opinions of the non-Danish speakers represented.
